Learning Objectives

This training session is designed to educate your managers and supervisors on the company's basic Affirmative Action obligations and their role in ensuring compliance.

Have your managers and supervisors attend directly, or HR managers can use this as a "Train the Trainer" exercise. They'll learn:
  • OFCCP jurisdiction over federal contractors and subcontractors
  • Difference between Affirmative Action and EEO
  • Components of an Affirmative Action Plan
  • Importance of Compliance and Responsibilities of Managers
  • Best Practices and Recordkeeping Requirements
Note: This training satisfies the federal contractor obligation to train supervisory personnel regarding affirmative action requirements towards females, minorities, individuals with a disability, and covered veterans.

About Your Speaker

Cara Y. Crotty is a Partner with Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP. Cara's practice areas include affirmative action and employment litigation. Her practice includes advising clients on all aspects of affirmative action compliance, plan development, and preparing for and representing contractors during compliance reviews.

Her clients include large national corporations as well as small one-establishment contractors. She has been Chair of the firm’s Affirmative Action Practice Area since 2003.
