Title:

SPCC: Current Status And Upcoming Changes; Get Your Facility Up To Speed Now

Date / Time: Recorded
Format: Webcast
Description: Back in 2008, the EPA released major changes to the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) regulations - and they were amended again in Spring 2011. Additionally, throughout that time period, the effective compliance dates have been modified, delayed and extended, creating a lot of confusion.

The SPCC regulations require owners and operators of facilities that use, store, transfer, or consume oil or oil-based products (including animal fats and vegetable oils) to develop and implement SPCC plans, certified by a professional engineer, to prevent releases of oil to waters of the United States. SPCC plans generally are required for a broad cross-section of facilities with aboveground storage capacity of 1,320 gallons or underground capacity in excess of 42,000 gallons of oil or oil-based products.

Join us for an intensive webinar on May 15, when you’ll learn all you need to know to cut through the clutter of these confusing, often-changing regulations – and how to stay in compliance.

You’ll learn:
  • The added exemptions from the SPCC regulations for hot-mix asphalt operations, pesticide application equipment and related mix containers, and heating oil containers at single-family residences
  • The clarified definition of “facility” for purposes of the SPCC rule, with regard to describing a facility’s boundaries
  • How the EPA clarified the general secondary containment requirement
  • Effective strategies to comply with amended security and integrity testing requirements
  • Steps to take to streamline requirements for on-shore facilities
  • The rules for exempted underground oil storage tanks at nuclear power generation facilities
  • Best practices for containment, control, and countermeasures storage and loading/unloading
  • How to assess your existing SPCC program to identify – and fix – potential gaps
  • Keys to determine whether your facility is Tier I or Tier II

Cannot Attend The Live Presentation?

This presentation is also available in a recorded format, in CD version, as shown in the pricing options below.

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts: Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
