Training Better Millennial Supervisors: Convince the Largest Segment Of Today’s Workforce To Step Up & Embrace Management Roles
|Date / Time:
||5/5/2017 / 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Eastern
The idea that millennials are taking over the workforce is not completely true. While they are becoming a large part of the growing workforce, many millennials are more concerned with developing a “career for me” rather than taking on management roles.
According to a 2016 Deloitte Millennial Survey, millennial employees demonstrate very little loyalty and likely have an exit strategy in place at all times, and therefore are less likely to stick around long enough to become management candidates.
In fact, one-fifth of all working millennials said they plan to leave their jobs within one year or less, and more than 6 in 10 millennials said their leadership skills aren’t being developed fully.
Until recently, growing with a company and obtaining a management or other top-ranking position was considered a standard and desirable career path. However, to retain top talent and build a successful workforce, employers need to show millennials how managerial roles can align with their long-term career goals.
Join us for an in depth webinar led by HR guru Tess Taylor. She’ll discuss the essential qualities of a successful manager, how to identify those qualities in your employees, and how to train them to take the lead.
Bonus: You’ll also receive a special report with tips on how HR and department heads can create better pathways to management opportunities for millennials.
- How to identify when millennials are ready to be trained for management roles
- When to approach your millennial employees about taking on managerial positions, and how to get a meaningful conversation going
- Training tips for positioning employees for success in their new roles
- Steps for implementing a mentoring program to create a support system
- How to boost millennials’ loyalty and performance through management training

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you
attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.
versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without
any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back
at work immediately after the session ends!
And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous
times and to share it with others in your office.
Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the
presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
