Federal Contractors Quarterly Briefing: The Fate Of Blacklisting, EEO-1 Reports, Overtime Rules And More Under The ‘New’ DOL And EEOC

Description:

Learn the practical impact evolving federal contractor compliance requirements will have on your organization.

Since our last Federal Contractors Quarterly Briefing webinar, President Trump has presented his FY2018 budget which proposes to merge OFCCP with EEOC and cut the DOL budget by 20%. Additionally, the “blacklisting” rule was eliminated through the seldom used Congressional Review Act.

Alexander Acosta was confirmed as Secretary of Labor, but no sub-agency heads for Wage and Hour or OFCCP have been named (and there’s still no new Solicitor of Labor). Nevertheless, Secretary Acosta has hit the ground running by proposing to revise the Obama era overtime regulations.

Join us for the third quarterly briefing of 2017 created exclusively for federal contractors. Attorneys and D.C. insiders David Fortney and Nita Beecher will provide the latest compliance update and offer practical solutions for protecting your organization from costly legal liabilities.

You’ll learn:

  • The likelihood of an OFCCP-EEOC merger in FY2019
  • Essential information on the new Secretary of Labor, as well as candidates for OFCCP director and EEOC chair
  • The update on the status of President Obama’s executive orders—and the practical impact on federal contractors
  • Whether the Trump Administration will seek to increase the salary level for exempt employees—and, if so, by how much
  • Which other federal contractor-related regulations are up in the air right now
  • And much more!

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
