Description:

Employees who don’t feel appreciated tend to be less productive, and they may be more likely to change jobs because they feel undervalued.

Efforts to boost employee morale, and consequently increase retention and productivity at work, are usually rooted in some sort of employee recognition program. But, coming up with employee recognition programs that are effective without breaking the bank can be a challenge.

Every organization is different and finding the right form of employee appreciation depends on knowing what your employees value. It also depends on your available budget. Sure, doling out gift cards, springing for a free meal, or providing tickets to the hottest concert or sporting event in town can be quite appealing to the workforce, but they can also be expensive.

Fortunately, there are many ways you can show your appreciate that won’t compromise your budget. For instance, simple thank you cards, “shout outs” on social media, and peer-to-peer nominations for a job well done can be a great way to recognize employees’ accomplishments and boost morale.

But, whatever routes you choose, you need to make sure the recognition program chosen is effective for your employees. It makes sense to ask for feedback, and craft your program accordingly.

Join us for a new webinar on how to evaluate company culture to determine the best recognition program for your workforce. Briana Scearcy, the chief people officer at Stoneridge Software, who recently revealed her insights at the 2018 HR Daily Advisor Annual Conference will also share tips on the various ways you can ways to reward employees without breaking your organization’s bank.

  • Which types of recognition your employees will be most likely to enjoy—and how to address any generational differences
  • Low- to no-cost ways to show employee appreciation that any organization can actually afford
  • Ideas on how to get employees in on the action with peer-to-peer nomination programs

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
