Compensation Strategies For Tech Workers: Best Practices For Motivating And Retaining Talent
|Date / Time:
Even during the past few years of a down economy, employers have repeatedly said that they are struggling to fill technical positions. And today, the need for tech talent - engineers, scientists, project managers, and more - still outpaces supply.
Tech workers play by different career rules and goals than other employee sectors. They often respond to different incentives and compensation trends than the straight cash offerings that may work with other groups.
As an HR professional, you need to be sure your compensation practices for tech talent are as innovative as possible. If not, you're in danger of losing your top talent to your competitors, which could cost your organization both time and money when you have to replace them.
Participate in this interactive webinar, and you'll learn:
- Why your technical staffers don't think about their jobs the same way your other workers do - and what that means for your compensation policies and practices
- How to develop tech compensation strategies that are externally competitive yet internally motivating
- The best ways to gauge your demand for specific types of technical skills as you set compensation levels
- The pros and cons of adding skill premiums into base salaries for tech workers versus using separate salary supplements or bonuses
- What's working these days with tech compensation beyond base salaries - from incentive pay to benefits and rewards/recognitions
- Key non-cash factors that you must incorporate into your tech compensation program, from job autonomy to professional development opportunities
- How to balance individual and team compensation options with tech employees
- And much more...

|About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:|
Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you
attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.
versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without
any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back
at work immediately after the session ends!
And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous
times and to share it with others in your office.
Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the
presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
