Greenhouse Gas Reporting: How To Ensure You’re In Compliance With The EPA Rules
|Date / Time:
In late 2009, the EPA issued its final rule on the mandatory reporting of greenhouse gases (GHG) – but there's still confusion about the compliance requirements.
The largest emitters, who roughly contribute 85 percent of the total U.S. GHG emissions, are now required to collect data for final reporting to the EPA. This rule affects roughly 10,000 facilities throughout the United States. Additionally, new facilities are required to install Best Available Control Technology (BACT).
Failure to report, or incorrect reporting, may result in criminal penalties, injunctions, and civil and administrative penalties of up to $37,500 per day per violation.
What You'll learn During This Webinar:
- Which businesses are covered by the EPA rules
- How to comply with the reporting standard
- What the BACT requirement means for you
- The types of GHGs, and their sources
- The timelines for reporting GHGs
- What you need to know about downstream and upstream sources, and how to report them
- How to file reports electronically and gain EPA verification of your emissions data
- The ways the mandatory reporting rule overlaps with your state and local reporting obligations
- Tips for formulating a strategic GHG reduction plan
- Best practices for reducing GHGs

any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back
at work immediately after the session ends!
And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous
times and to share it with others in your office.
Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the
presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
