Boss-Building Strategies: Essential Steps for Developing a Better Leader
|Date / Time:
It is said so often in HR conversations that it has become a cliche: People don't leave jobs; they leave bad bosses.
A recent study revealed that two-thirds of Americans are unhappy with their jobs because they don't like their bosses. Nearly 60 percent of those surveyed say they would do a better job if they got along better with their boss.
Great bosses are not only good for morale, but they are also good for the bottom line. Good managers retain employees, which reduces turnover costs. When supervisors succeed, an organization meets its business targets and thrives. And unlike bad managers who can cause problems and even land your organization in legal hot water, great bosses know how to manage people while also looking out for the company's well-being.
You wouldn't expect a star student to suddenly be able to teach the class. The same applies to newly minted supervisors. They require training, education, and support, and it's important for you to make sure they get it.
Participate in this interactive webinar, and you'll learn:
- Key legal issues every supervisor and manager should have a handle on

- Team-building tips you can implement right away to boost your workforce's morale and get them more engaged
- How to provide constructive, authoritative feedback - that yields positive results - without alienating members of your team
- Why it's important to diffuse negative energy and how to do it in a way that keeps everyone staying positive and on track
