Format: Webinar

Description:

"Wellness" is a popular catchphrase these days, but until you know exactly what you want your program to accomplish, and how to accurately measure its return on investment, you′re just spinning your wheels.

The large employer penalty for non-compliance under the Affordable Care Act has been put off until 2015, but other aspects of the ACA are moving forward. This means some employers are in a conundrum as to whether they should comply because the law as passed or wait because there is no penalty in 2014. Employers with 50 or more "full-time equivalent" employees will have to provide health insurance coverage or pay a non-deductible penalty, beginning in 2015. This has left many organizations that employ part-time workers wondering what they can do to keep them from meeting the FTE threshold.

The Supreme Court′s recent ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act requires that employers immediately address certain tax matters and face head on whether they′ll offer same sex domestic partner benefits since the legalization of same-sex marriage appears to be here to stay.

Regardless of the types of benefits organizations offer, it′s important for employers to convey the true value those benefits bring to the workforce, since benefits can be an integral part of a comprehensive total rewards package.

By participating in this interactive extended webinar, you′ll learn about the latest wellness program and voluntary benefit trends, and you′ll get insight into how to strategically communicate the value of your total rewards to your employees.

In addition, you′ll learn:

  • What the best wellness programs can achieve, using real-life case studies
  • How to get employees on board and avoid common legal pitfalls
  • Tips for implementing and sustaining the communication strategy
  • Low-cost benefit options to consider offering to your part-timers, who may be losing healthcare coverage post-ACA
  • The latest updates on ACA legislative/regulatory action that could affect your employee benefit plan design
  • Where domestic partner/same-sex benefits stand, and how recent legal developments may affect benefit plans going forward
  • And much, much more
