Leave Tracking for HR Pros: In-the-Trench Strategies for Conquering Complex FMLA Challenges
|Date / Time:
Tracking employee leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act isn't as simple as keeping an attendance record. If it were that simple, employers across the country would have mastered FMLA compliance long ago.
FMLA is a complex legal beast and even the most seasoned of HR professionals can become ensnared in the voluminous federal rules and regulations.
One of the most critical tasks of FMLA is to accurately track leave taken by all employees. If you don't track leave, the employee may be disciplined for absences that should have been protected. And if that happens, chances are a lawsuit is not far behind.
Don't wait until it's too late. Get your policies and procedures up to date so you can effectively track employee leave time under FMLA.
Participate in this interactive webinar, and you'll learn:
- The hazards of failing to track all FMLA leave and how to prevent them
- Policies and procedures your organization MUST have in order to track leave accurately
- Why FMLA training for employees and managers is crucial
- How to calculate the amount of leave taken by employees who routinely work a flexible schedule, part-time, or overtime
- How your choice of FMLA leave year affects tracking
- How to apply a minimum increment of leave
- Tools for tracking and managing intermittent leave
- When to count paid holidays as FMLA leave
- How to count intermittent leave taken by exempt employees without endangering their exempt status
- How to calculate an employee's absences before she provided notice of need for leave (or before certification)
- Tips for calculating leave for light duty assignments
- Safeguards to protect against tracking errors
In just 90 minutes, you'll get the answers to your toughest FMLA questions, so you take the headache out of tracking leave time. Register now for this informative event risk free.
