OSHA's Top 10: What To Learn From Recent Violations To Ensure Compliance This Coming Year
|Date / Time:
One of the best ways to improve the overall compliance of your safety program is to take a close look at what companies, including yours, are being cited for by OSHA. By taking advantage of others' hard lessons learned, you can use the information to identify gaps in your program.
In early October, OSHA released the preliminary figures for FY 2013 Top 10 violations. Although the violation categories are not surprising - they range from fall protection (which had the most violations) to machine guarding (which rounded out the Top 10) - they provide a good perspective of focus areas to share with your senior management, facility staff, and even your audit teams.
Join us for this in-depth webinar when our presenter, a seasoned OSHA lawyer who has helped many companies address compliance challenges before, during, and after an inspection, will provide participants with a helpful assessment of the FY 2013 Top 10 violation categories. You'll also get insight into how to use the data in the most effective way for your organization.
You And Your Colleagues Will Learn:
- Detailed explanations about the top 10 standards violated for FY 2013
- How the "Top 10" list relates to OSHA's 2014 enforcement strategy and initiatives such as the Severe Violators Enforcement
- Program and the National Emphasis Program
- What approaches to take for using the "Top 10" list to evaluate your existing compliance status
- How can you incorporate the "Top 10" list into your audit and inspection process
- Pointers on how to stay ahead of OSHA enforcement actions
- The impact of new and pending regulations as they relate to 2014 enforcement trends
- How your organization can use various data bases such as the FY 2013 Top 10 list to develop your company's own "Top 10" list
- Ways to identify and evaluate resources to help you best use the Top 10 information in a meaningful way
