Performance Talk Techniques for HR and Supervisors: How to Help Workers Reach Their Full Potential
|Date / Time:
Helping employees achieve their highest performance potential is one of the biggest challenges HR professionals face. While reviews are a necessary part of making employees aware of how they’re doing, ongoing feedback and coaching will help them make sustained improvements. What's the best way to do it?
Performance talks and ongoing coaching and communication are essential to let employees know what they have been doing right, and where they might still find room for improvement.
One of the keys to motivating employees, other than compensation, is helping them develop pride in accomplishment and a sense of ownership for the work they have performed. Most employees want to be valued and recognized for their hard work, skills, and talent.
Employees who are offered challenges, training opportunities, and clear opportunities to advance in the organization tend to be happier and more engaged in their work. Rewards and compensation matter, too, but finding ways to recognize workers for their efforts through words of recognition is just as important.
Similarly, giving ongoing feedback to workers who need to improve can be daunting, and sometimes may seem negative rather than motivational. Offer a reward if the employee improves, and set goals that are achievable.
Join us for tips on how to give ongoing feedback that will effectively drive your employees’ performance for positive outcomes for the whole organization. |About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:|
Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you
attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.
versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without
any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back
at work immediately after the session ends!
And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous
times and to share it with others in your office.
Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the
presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
