Margaret O’Hanlon teams up with clients to ensure great human resource ideas deliver valuable business results. Her firm has developed total compensation, performance management, career development and Total Rewards communication solutions for clients with local, national, and global business commitments. In addition to targeted Human Resource initiatives, her assignments have included mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, downsizing, and relocation. Her clients include E. & J. Gallo, The Priceline Group, Toys “r” Us and the University of California.
Whether Ms. O’Hanlon works with project teams, senior management, or the Board, she provides thoughtful solutions that increase employee business insight and build commitment, even when conditions are difficult. Earlier, she was a Principal with Willis Towers Watson, specializing in total compensation and organizational communications. Her clients included Johnson & Johnson, Toyota, and Vanguard.
Prior to joining Towers, Ms. O’Hanlon worked for CIGNA Corporation and Hospital Affiliates International as a Human Resource Consultant. She was also a Faculty Advisor for Indiana University School of Medicine.
Ms. O’Hanlon is a founding contributor to the award-winning blog, Compensation Café, where she serves up straight talk and caffeinated discussion on all things compensation. She is a Board member of the Bay Area Compensation Association (BACA) and a regular speaker and faculty member for BACA, WorldatWork, the Northern California Human Resource Association (NCHRA), Silicon Valley Compensation Association (SVCA) and HR.com.
Ms. O’Hanlon received an M.S. and Ed.S. in Instructional Technology from Indiana University, Bloomington. She also received a B.A. with honors in English from the same University, having transferred there from NYU.
