Building A Job Grade Structure From Scratch: How To Use Job Content, Market Data, And More To Effectively Standardize Pay
|Date / Time:
A job grade is a collection of jobs that have similar responsibility, experience, and skill requirements. Building a job grade structure clearly defines the market and internal value for each job, which helps your organization quantify compensation costs and manage employee pay more effectively. It also ensures pay equity across the company.
Each job grade is considered to have the same value to the organization, so they are assigned the same pay range. A pay scale or pay grade structure establishes a minimum, midpoint, and maximum salary for each job grade. This structure may also outline the potential pay increases for each job.
If you are considering building a job grade structure to streamline compensation budgeting and allow ease of administration, don’t miss this webinar! Experienced compensation consultant John Rubino will walk you through the process from start to finish.
