Active Shooter In The Workplace: Tactical Strategies And Response Protocols To Improve Chances Of Survival

SKU:WC-1023697
Date / Time: Recorded
Format: Webinar
Description:

If a violent assailant or active shooter entered your workplace with the intent to physically harm or kill your employees, how would you react? Would this response help ensure their safety?

The disturbing fact is that mass shootings like the recent one in a Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport are increasing in frequency in the United States.

According to Gun Violence Archives, there were 385 mass shooting incidents in the country in 2016, more than one per day. The threat isn’t just physical either. Shootings, along with other active aggressor incidents, can have a harmful psychological effect on employees and could result in significant costs for a company in the event of litigation.

Join us when crime prevention and law enforcement experts will teach you what you can do to better protect yourself, your coworkers, and your business in the event of an active shooter or other active assailant situation through emergency operation planning and more.

Learning Objectives:

  • How to identify and recognize general traits or characteristics of active aggressors
  • Trends and statistics of active shooter incidents in the United States
  • How to implement the run-hide-fight response to active aggressor situations
  • How to limit your company’s liability exposure
  • Strategies to incorporate CPTED (Crime Preventions Through Environmental Design)

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
