Description:

Every office has at least one: The employee with the toxic personality, the person who manages to bring everyone else down on a daily basis. There are many variations:

  • Downer Dave, who has a perennial storm cloud over his head (and manages to get everyone else emotionally drenched, too).
  • Slacker Simon, who puts in a solid 46 minutes of real work every business day.
  • Gossipy Gussie, who is a veritable font of information—and misinformation—shared in sneaky whispers and asides.
  • Martyr Myrtle, who is doing just fine, thank you, despite her grievously unfair lot in life that she is happy to discuss at length on a daily basis.
  • Blowup Bob, who has a hair-trigger temper and a tendency to yell. A lot.
  • Complainer Cate, who never met a task she was excited or positive about.
Regardless of the particular type you’re dealing with, he or she is taking a toll on your workplace. A recent study of 1,000 employees from leadership consulting firm Fierce revealed that toxic colleagues both increase stress and decrease job satisfaction. But most workplaces never address the problem directly.

While you may be reluctant to act for fear of triggering an argument or a lawsuit, failing to rectify the problem of the toxic employee can create lasting damage to your workplace morale, productivity, and employee retention.

Join us for an all new interactive webinar where professional and personal coach Hilarie Gaylin will teach you how to identify the toxic personalities lurking in your workplace. She’ll provide practical strategies on how to address the issues they can cause.

You’ll learn:
  • Common identifying qualities that can make an employee’s personality “toxic”
  • The different kinds of toxic employees who may be lurking in your office
  • The dangers of letting those toxic workers go unchecked, including the costs to staff morale—and your sanity
  • Tips for confronting a toxic employee, and how to choose the right words, the right setting, and the right tone
  • How to avoid hiring toxic workers in the first place
  • And much more!

Cannot Attend The Live Presentation?

This presentation is also available in a recorded format, in On-Demand version, as shown in the pricing options below.

About Webcasts / Audio Conferences / Podcasts:

Webcasts, audio conferences, and podcasts are presentations that you attend via the Internet, phone, or mobile device at a specified date and time for "live" versions, or at your convenience for "recorded" and "On-Demand" versions.

The live versions are interactive, meaning that participants can ask questions in real time, plus are a very cost-effective form of training because 1) you receive fast, convenient learning without any out-of-office time; 2) you can invite as many colleagues as you'd like to listen in on a single phone line; 3) you incur no travel expenses; and 4) you and your colleagues are back at work immediately after the session ends!

And though with recorded versions you do lose the ability to ask questions, you gain the ability to hear the presentation numerous times and to share it with others in your office.

Handout materials and the phone number for live presentations are made available to you prior to the event via email from the presenter and from the "MyAccount" link on the menu bar. Copies of the presentations are included with recorded versions.
