Layoffs And Reductions-In-Force: Legal Pitfalls To Avoid When Identifying, Selecting, And Notifying Candidates
Layoffs and involuntary reductions in force are no fun for anyone involved. But what can be far worse are the legal penalties for mishandling a workforce reduction. Selecting the wrong employees or groups of employees can result not only in damage to your organization's reputation, but can also lead to costly class action or wrongful termination lawsuits.
While there will always be risks associated with employee terminations, it is possible, with the right information and careful planning, to conduct a layoff or RIF in a compliant and thoughtful way that’s respectful to employees and that also protects your company.
Join us to learn the essential considerations when conducting a RIF. Our presenter, a skilled attorney, will provide you with step-by-step guidance for handling layoffs and will give you the skills you need to handle any problems with confidence.
And much more!
