Recorded On-Demand
About This Course:
Chances are the information you receive from your group health and welfare plan provider doesn’t include all the language required for company filings under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

It’s up to you to ensure that you have the proper “wrap” documents to meet the Form 5500 requirements. Otherwise, you could be liable for penalties of up to $1,100 per day per benefit plan option.

Employers have countless general questions about wrap documents, such as:
  • What is a wrap document, anyway?
  • How can a wrap document be used?
  • What must the wrap document include?
Then, there are the more specific ones, like:
  • Should voluntary benefits not subject to ERISA be excluded from the Form 5500?
  • Must you have one wrap document for each 5500 you file or can you have one wrap document and file multiple 5500s—what’s the best course of action in that case?
  • Do you need a wrap document for life insurance, AD&D, LTD, and STD if the benefits are fully paid for by the employer?
These are some of the most common and potentially confusing questions that come up, and we’ve got answers to these and more during an all-new webinar.

Our presenter, a skilled employee benefits attorney, will explain the real-life application of the wrap document and the top compliance tripwires to avoid. You’ll learn the ins and outs of how to ensure that your company is properly using wrap documents to meet Form 5500 filing requirements under ERISA.

You’ll learn:
