Mrs. Lejarza-Penn has been working in Human Resources for over two decades. She graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s in Management and a Minor in Human Resources. She is the founder and president of HRTrainingClasses.com® and Lejarza HR Consulting. Lejarza HR Consulting was founded August 24, 2013 in Greenville, SC to provide training and consulting services to small and medium sized companies throughout the United States and HRTrainingClasses.com was founded June 1, 2018 and is devoted to assisting every single HR Professional to obtain their aPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR Certification as well as re-certification Programs to obtain the training and credits necessary to maintain their HR Certification and other essential and in many cases, mandatory by law, Human Resource Trainings.
In 2015 Mrs. Lejarza-Penn started a project creating different learning methods to assist HR Professionals obtain their certification credentials for SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR. Mrs. Lejarza-Penn utilizes a visual learning technique she learned after working for 13 years with individuals with cognitive disabilities. She learned that using visuals does not only help people with disabilities learn and remember concepts but is also very effective with individuals without disabilities.
Mrs. Lejarza-Penn has also found her niche in the areas of ADA and FMLA, Employment Laws, Employee Relations and Internal Investigations. She has a passion for public speaking and enjoys sharing her journey in her new role as an entrepreneur. Mrs. Lejarza-Penn started her career in HR with Target as a Human Resources Manager and moved on from there to work at AutoZone as a Regional HR Manager conducting internal investigations and has also worked at Bloomingdales and Walgreens, also in Human Resources. Mrs. Lejarza-Penn is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, the Anderson SHRM, the Greenville SHRM, and a regular speaker for the Greenville American Payroll Association.
