Company Unlawfully Fired Employees Who Participated In 'Day Without Immigrants' Protest
In a recently released National Labor Relations Board Advice Memorandum concludes that the participation of EZ Industrial Solutions, LLC, employees in the "Day Without Immigrants" was for their mutual aid or protection and constituted a "protected strike."
Thus, EZ Industrial Solutions violated National Labor Relations Act Section 8(a)(1) when it threatened to suspend, and thereafter fired, 18 employees for engaging in a protected strike vis-a-vis the "Day Without Immigrants" national protest.
